Football fans and families alike came together to experience a weekend filled with game-day excitement and unforgettable moments during Mitchell Nissan’s Heisman House event. This action-packed two-day celebration brought the prestigious Heisman Trophy to Enterprise, offering a unique opportunity for the community to experience college football greatness up close.
A Weekend to Remember
The festivities kicked off on Friday, October 18th, at Enterprise High School, where the Homecoming Pep Rally set the tone for a weekend full of spirit. With the EHS cheerleaders and Mr. Wildcat leading the charge, fans were treated to shakers, smiles, and a chance to soak in the electric energy of Friday night lights.

On Saturday, October 19th, the fun shifted to the Mitchell Nissan dealership, transforming the showroom and lot into a vibrant game-day hub. Families and fans enjoyed an array of activities, from tailgating and lunch to live college football games streamed on showroom TVs. The highlight of the event was the opportunity to snap a photo with a coveted Heisman Trophy, an iconic symbol of college football excellence.

This incredible opportunity was made possible because Nissan, the sponsor of the Heisman, chose Mitchell Nissan to display the trophy. Over a year ago, Mitchell Nissan submitted a proposal to host the trophy, and we were honored to be selected for this prestigious event.
Celebrity Guests Delight Fans
Adding to the excitement, several football legends made appearances, sharing their stories and connecting with fans. Among the honored guests were:

Wagstaff played football for the University of Alabama from 1994-1998 as a Linebacker and Defensive End. In 2006, he was a coach at Carroll High School. In 2007, Coach Wagstaff was the linebackers coach for Northwestern Oklahoma State University.

Meeting these sports heroes added a special touch, allowing attendees to hear firsthand accounts of their experiences and achievements on and off the field.
Community Spirit Shines Bright
“The Heisman event was an incredible success and a testament to the strength of our community,” said John L. Mitchell, owner of Mitchell Automotive. “We were thrilled to see families, football fans, and friends come together to celebrate the spirit of the game. Events like these remind us why we love what we do—bringing people together and creating lasting memories.”
Ross Bonura, General Sales Manager of Mitchell Nissan, shared his thoughts on the planning and execution of the event: “Bringing an event of this magnitude to our community took over a year of planning and dedication.
