A Showroom Overflowing with Generosity
On a bustling Wednesday, Mitchell Mazda was transformed into a vibrant sea of bikes and trikes. Every available space, from the front showroom to the back warehouse, was filled with hundreds of bicycles awaiting delivery to Coffee County Family Services’ annual toy distribution event.
“It’s another Christmas miracle thanks to the citizens of this amazing county! We are so grateful to the staff, volunteers, and donors who are making this all possible. Many happy tears have been shed today,” said CCFS Executive Director Judy Crowley.

A Decade of Community Support
This year marks a significant milestone: a decade since CCFS began their bike collection initiative. Reflecting on the journey, Mitchell Mazda Dealer and CCFS Board Member, Meredith Mitchell Hamilton shared, “The first year we only collected 25 bicycles. This year we are at more than 400.”

Every year, CCFS brings joy to more than 1,000 children, ensuring they have a Merrier Christmas. This is made possible through partnerships with Toys for Tots, local churches, civic and school organizations, and numerous individuals.
“Bikes and trikes are important because they give kids fitness, confidence, motor skills, and a little bit of freedom,” Crowley emphasized. “We want every kid to have that experience.”
A Community Coming Together
Crowley expressed her heartfelt gratitude and shared a glimpse of the dedication behind the scenes, “Every year in November I lose sleep worrying about coming up with enough bicycles for each child,” she said, with her trademark smile. “And by December we have our bikes.”
Through the unwavering support of the community, Mitchell Mazda, and the tireless efforts of CCFS, countless children in Coffee County will experience the joy and freedom that comes with receiving a new bike this Christmas.
