Mitchell Hyundai Celebrates 20 Years of Serving the Wiregrass Community
On Thursday, August 21, 2026, Mitchell Hyundai celebrated a significant milestone: 20 years of serving Enterprise and the surrounding Wiregrass community. Hosted as a Business After Hours event presented by the Enterprise Chamber of Commerce, the evening brought together community leaders, business partners, customers, friends, Mitchell Automotive team members, and members of the Wiregrass community to celebrate two decades of relationships, service, and growth.
A Family Welcomed by the Community
During the celebration, members of the Mitchell family reflected on the family’s journey in Enterprise and the incredible support they have received throughout the years.
Looking back on the family’s beginnings in the community, one sentiment stood out: gratitude.
“Here we are, 40 years later, so grateful and so blessed to be where we are.” John L. Mitchell, Mitchell Automotive
That gratitude extended far beyond the business itself. For the Mitchell family, their history in the Wiregrass has been shaped by the people who welcomed them, supported them, and allowed them to become part of the community.
“Y’all embraced our family when you didn’t have to, and it’s just been unbelievable—the love and support you’ve given our family for the last 40 years.” John L. Mitchell, Mitchell Automotive
For 20 of those years, Mitchell Hyundai has been a part of that story.
Since opening in Enterprise, Mitchell Hyundai has had the opportunity to serve generations of local drivers and families. The dealership has become more than a place to purchase or service a vehicle—it has become part of the community it calls home.
Celebrating the People Behind Mitchell Hyundai
While anniversaries often focus on the number of years a business has been open, Mitchell Hyundai highlighted that the people are what truly make Mitchell Automotive special.
The Mitchell family expressed its appreciation for the employees who represent the company every day and serve as the familiar faces customers see when they walk through the doors.
“When you come into our dealerships, our employees are who you see. We’re so blessed and so fortunate to have the best team members in the country.” John L. Mitchell, Mitchell Automotive
The employees have played an important role in helping Mitchell Hyundai reach this 20-year milestone. Their commitment to customers, their relationships within the community, and their dedication to the Mitchell family’s values have helped shape the dealership into what it is today.
More Than 20 Years in Business
The evening was also a celebration of the many ways Mitchell Automotive has been involved in the Wiregrass throughout the years.
From supporting local schools, sports teams, nonprofit organizations, community agencies, and hometown events to building lasting relationships with local businesses and families, community involvement has remained a cornerstone of the Mitchell Automotive story.
As Camille Johnson, Marketing and Community Engagement Director for Mitchell Automotive, shared ahead of the celebration:
“Twenty years represents so much more than the number of vehicles we’ve sold or serviced; it represents twenty years of relationships.”
Those relationships have been at the heart of Mitchell Hyundai’s two decades in Enterprise.
The dealership has had the privilege of being part of countless milestones—from helping families find their first vehicle to serving customers who have returned to Mitchell Hyundai for generations. Each interaction has contributed to the dealership’s story and its place within the Wiregrass community.
Looking Ahead
As the celebration came to a close, the evening served not only as a reflection on the past but also as a look toward the future.
Mitchell Hyundai entered its third decade in Enterprise with the same commitment that has guided the dealership for the past 20 years: serving customers, supporting the community, and building relationships that last.
The Mitchell family’s 40-year journey and Mitchell Hyundai’s 20-year history would not have been possible without the people of the Wiregrass.
Last night was a celebration of 20 years of Mitchell Hyundai, 40 years of Mitchell Automotive, and the community that has been part of the journey every step of the way.
From the Mitchell family and the entire Mitchell Hyundai team: thank you, Enterprise and the Wiregrass, for welcoming our family, supporting our business, and allowing us to be part of this community for the past 20 years.
