Toyota of Dothan’s Souper Bowl Drive: A 13-Year Tradition
For the past 13 years, Toyota of Dothan has turned the excitement of the Big Game into an opportunity to give back to the community with its annual Souper Bowl Drive. This heartwarming initiative is part of the Wiregrass Brown Bag Program, organized by the Wiregrass Area Food Bank, which provides essential assistance to the elderly in our community.
Supporting the Elderly with Warm, Nutritious Meals
The Souper Bowl Drive focuses on collecting cans of soup, a staple that provides a warm, nutritious meal, especially vital during the cold winter months. Many elderly individuals in our area rely solely on Social Security payments and often face financial struggles. The donations from the Souper Bowl Drive help ensure they have access to filling and comforting meals.
Making a Difference: 2,330 Pounds of Soup in 2023
Each year, our community comes together to support this worthy cause, and the impact has been significant. In 2023 alone, Toyota of Dothan collected an impressive 2,330 pounds of soup. These contributions play a crucial role in the lives of the elderly, offering both sustenance and the knowledge that their community cares.
